Cast On! Cast Off! — "Whaddya At Wednesday" Summer Draw Official Rules

Welcome to our Whaddya At Wednesday summer photo-sharing draw! We love staying connected with our community and celebrating all your wonderful summer pastimes, adventures, and hobbies.
Please read our official rules and details below to see how our summer draw works:
1. Eligibility
- The draw is open to legal residents of Canada.
- Participants must be of legal age in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry.
- Employees of Cast On! Cast Off! are not eligible to win the prize package.
2. How to Enter
- No purchase necessary. Making a purchase at Cast On! Cast Off! will not increase your chances of winning. Entry is entirely free by participating in our weekly photo threads.
- To enter, participants must post a photo in the comment section of the official weekly "Whaddya At Wednesday" post on the Cast On! Cast Off! official Facebook page.
- All entries must be posted directly in the public comment section of the weekly Facebook post on the Cast On! Cast Off! official Facebook page between Wednesday morning to the following day (Thursday), at 6pm NST. Photos sent to our inbox, direct messages, or emails cannot not be counted as official entries.
- The photo must show a pastime, adventure, or hobby the participant enjoyed during that current week (including but not limited to knitting, crafting, gardening, baking, traveling, or outdoor recreation).
- Entry Limits: There is a strict limit of one (1) photo entry per person, per week. Multiple photos posted by the same person in a single week will still only count as one single entry for that week's thread.
3. Promotion Period
- The promotional period begins July 8, 2026, and runs weekly until the final entry thread closes on August 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM NST.
- Each weekly entry thread opens on Wednesday morning and will officially close on Thursday at 6:00 PM NST. Photos left after this time will not be counted toward that week's entry tally. No exceptions.
4. The Prize & Winner Selection
- One (1) grand prize winner will be selected at random from all combined eligible weekly entries collected throughout July and August.
- The random draw will take place on August 30, 2026.
- The prize package consists of a specially curated Gift Basket filled with special shop goodies (the contents of the basket will be revealed publicly before the end of July).
- No Substitutions or Exchanges: The prize items are awarded "as-is." There will be absolutely no substitutions, exchanges, or color swaps allowed on the basket contents. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash, gift cards or store credit.
- Free Shipping Details: If the winner cannot pick up the basket in person, Cast On! Cast Off! will mail the prize to any valid Canadian address completely free of charge. Please note: This free shipping applies strictly to the contents of the prize basket alone. Additional store orders or purchased items cannot be added to this shipment.
5. Claiming the Prize (Canadian Regulations & Security)
- The selected entrant will be contacted directly via private message on Facebook from our official Cast On! Cast Off! page.
- Security Warning: We will never reply to comments with winning links, ask you to fill out a form, or request credit card details to claim your prize. Please watch out for fake copycat accounts! All official communications will come directly to your Facebook private messages from our main page on August 30.
- Skill-Testing Question: In accordance with Canadian sweepstakes laws, the selected winner must correctly answer a time-limited, unassisted mathematical skill-testing question before the prize can be officially awarded.
- If the selected winner cannot be reached, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or does not claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be randomly drawn.
- Winner Announcement: Once the prize has been officially claimed and the skill-testing question has been correctly answered, the winner's name will then be posted publicly on our official Cast On! Cast Off! Facebook page and Instagram account. By participating in this draw, entrants agree to have their name announced publicly upon winning.
6. General Conditions & Release
- By posting a photo in our comment section, you grant Cast On! Cast Off! permission to feature your photo on our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram Stories) as part of our weekly community highlights.
- This promotion is entirely organized and operated by Cast On! Cast Off! in Triton, NL. It is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.
