Keep the whole family cozy with the ultimate Canadian winter classic.
Experience the ultimate winter mitten with the legendary Briggs & Little Family Thrummed Mittens pattern. Known as an absolute staple for the snowy East Coast winters, thrummed mittens feature small tufts of unspun wool roving/sliver (thrums) knit directly into the stitch work. Over time, these fleece tufts compress and felt to the exact shape of your hand, forming a windproof, plush lining that feels like slipping your hand into a cloud.
This printed pattern leaflet includes instructions for six different sizes, making it easy to create custom, heirloom-quality thrummed mittens for kids and grown-ups alike.
Knit them with
Briggs & Little Heritage or
Tuffy for a pair of mittens that are built to last through years of snowballs, shoveling, and winter hikes.
