In this second collection from The Bay Kitchen, the heart of Newfoundland cooking continues to shine through in every dish. Building on the traditions of the first book, this volume brings even more of the comforting, time-honoured recipes that have long filled our kitchens and gathered families around the table. From classic favourites to cherished home-style meals, these recipes celebrate the resourcefulness, warmth, and unmistakable flavours of Newfoundland and Labrador. Each page reflects the simple joy of cooking with what you have, making something meaningful, and sharing it with the people you love. Whether you’re carrying on family traditions or creating new ones of your own, this collection invites you back into the kitchen—where stories are told, memories are made, and every meal feels like home.
From the Author:
I am a Newfoundland-based author, baker, and storyteller with a background in journalism and over two decades of experience in the baking industry. Raised in a small outport community, I developed a strong appreciation for tradition, family, and the role food plays in bringing people together.
My work is inspired by the recipes, stories, and everyday moments that define life in rural Newfoundland. Through my books, I aim to preserve and share the warmth of these traditions for others to enjoy.
